Dengue fever Symptoms and treatment

Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne infection. It is caused by four different virus and spread by Aedes Mosquitoes. It is also called break-bone fever dengue is transmitted by the mosquitoes Aedes Aegypti Which are found throughout the world. Dengue is endemic in an at least 100 countries in Asia, the Pacific, the America, Africa, Caribbean. Symptoms begin 4 to 7 days after the mosquito bite typically last 3 to 10 days.
Symptoms:
1. High fever
2. Intense headaches
3. Pain Behind the eyes
4. Vomiting and nausea
5. Aching muscles and joints
6. Body rashes
7. Low b.P
A person with Dengue fever may experience:
(a) Lower no. of platelets in the blood
(b) Sensitive stomach
(c) Internal bleeding showing black vomit or stool
(d) Clammy skin
Dengue is a viral disease, therefore, no specific treatment or cure is there for it. However intervention can help to depend on how severe the disease is, other treatments include giving dengue patients lots of fluids, as high fever and vomiting can dehydrate the body. Rehydration salts can also help replace fluids and minerals.
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) such as aspirin or ibuprofen are not advised, as they can risk of internal bleeding .painkillers such as paracetamol can help in fever and pain. More severe form of dengue fever may need.
(i) Intravenous (IV) fluid supplementation or drip, if the person cannot take fluids by mouth.
(ii) Blood transfusion, for patients with severe dehydration.
Causes:
The virus is transmitted from an infected mosquito to a human. a mosquito bites a person who is infected with the dengue virus, and the virus is passed on when the mosquito bites someone else.
Prevention:
As there is no particular, treatment for this disease it is better to avoid being bitten
Mosquito repellents:
one can use mosquito relents such as odomos to avoid the bites of mosquitoes. You could turn to natural repellants like lemon, eucalyptus, oil, lavender, neem oil and cinnamon oil to protect yourself against mosquito bites.
Clothing:
use long pants, long-sleeved shirts, also try to cover your exposed parts of your body
Door and Window screen:
Structural barriers and netting can help keep mosquito out of your home or workplace.
Timing:
try to avoid being outside at dawn and dusk and early evenings Check out for stagnant water near and in your home to avoid to mosquito breeding.
(1) Store water under cover
(2) Remove excess water from plant pots
(3)Change the water in the flower vases every second day.

1. Papaya Leaves:
